Explore Jamestown

Areas of Jamestown.

Town of Jamestown community-planning materials use five broad geographic areas to describe where residents live. They are a useful starting point for understanding how the island changes from north to south.

Local guide by the Sheil Readyhough Team at SERHANT.

Village & East Shore Road

The central portion of the island from Route 138 through Hamilton Avenue, including the village and East Shore Road corridor.

Jamestown Shores

A residential area on the northwestern side of Conanicut Island, including the area identified by the Town as Top of the Mark.

North End

The portion of Jamestown north of Route 138 outside Jamestown Shores.

The Dumplings

The southeastern portion of the island south of Hamilton Avenue toward Fort Wetherill.

Beavertail

The southern portion of Conanicut Island, extending toward Beavertail Point and its exposed coastal setting.

Property by property

The area name is only the beginning.

Shoreline, elevation, exposure, access, utilities and property-specific conditions can vary throughout Jamestown. We verify the details that matter for the individual home rather than relying on a neighborhood label alone.
