Explore East Greenwich

Areas of East Greenwich.

East Greenwich does not break into a long list of formal villages, but several distinct settings help organize a real estate search—from the historic Hill and Harbor area and Main Street to Greenwich Cove, Frenchtown and the quieter western side of town.

Local guide by the Sheil Readyhough Team at SERHANT.

Hill & Harbor

The historic district and surrounding streets rise above Greenwich Cove, combining older architecture, residential streets and close access to the waterfront and Main Street.

Main Street & Historic District

The traditional village center, with historic buildings, local businesses, restaurants and civic uses concentrated along and around Main Street.

Greenwich Cove & Waterfront

The town’s eastern edge along the Cove, where marinas, docks, waterfront restaurants, boat access and nearby residential streets create a distinct harbor setting.

Frenchtown

A western East Greenwich area associated with Frenchtown Road, preserved land, trails and lower-density residential settings farther from the village center.

Tillinghast Road

A historic road corridor on the western side of town, known for a more rural residential landscape and proximity to preserved open space.

Middle Road & Interior Neighborhoods

Established residential areas between the village core and western edge of town, offering a setting that is more neighborhood-oriented than the Main Street or waterfront districts.

Property by property

The area name is only the beginning.

East Greenwich properties can vary in architecture, lot size, topography, utilities, flood exposure and proximity to Main Street or the waterfront. We recommend evaluating the exact address and current property records rather than relying on a broad neighborhood label.
